Excess starter? Sourdough Pancakes!!

Sourdough pancakes

Got any left over sourdough starter? This recipe is perfect for using it up.

What you need:

  • · 3 whole eggs

  • · 170ml whole milk

  • · 120ml sourdough starter (a bit more, a bit less doesn’t really matter)

  • · 100g plain white flour

  • · a couple pinches of salt

  • · 1 tbs of butter, melted.

Crack the eggs into a big bowl and brief whisk. Add the milk and sourdough, followed by the salt and the flour.

Whisk it all up into a batter consistency, then stir in the butter until well dispersed.

Fry the pancakes in a large, oiled frying pan.

We love these served with spicy sausage or lashings of maple syrup.
